Real Energy Bars (Without all the Nasties)

So I get it, we all need that hit of energy and some days I'm guilty of thinking that a coffee will give me that energy hit I need too, the truth is real energy and vitality comes from consuming foods high in nutrients, vitamins & minerals that provide our body with energy, wellness and awesome health. These energy bars I've created are jam packed with superfood awesomeness like Goji berries, cacao nibs, walnuts and something I swear by, Spirulina. However spirulina without a doubt has a taste well let's just say it has a taste hehehe, and so many people won't consume it because of that taste! So I've made a few creations to get you through that taste and giving your body so many kick ass health benefits in the process, Sometimes your taste buds just have to take one for the team (your body) hehehe :) I think your taste buds will be happy they took one with this creation xx

Ingredients

2 cups of quinoa flakes

1/2 cup dessicated coconut

1/2 cup crunchy peanut butter

2 Tbls raw honey

2 Tbls coconut oil (melted)

1 tsp vanilla bean paste

1 tbls chia seeds

1 1/2 tsp spirulina

1/2 cup goji berries

1/4 cup walnuts

1/4 cup cacao nibs

1/4 cup rasins

2 tbls cacao powder

2 Tbls warm water

Directions

Place all ingredients into a food processor and pulse until the mix just comes together, don't over mix you still want there to be a chunky pieces to the bars, place the mixture into a baking tray lined with baking paper and press the mixture firmly together to make a large bar like shape, place in the fridge to set approx 2 hours, cut into bar slices once set and keep them stored in an air tight container for up to a week, makes 8 bars enjoy xx
